This is to advise our valued customers that vessel APL Pearl - 052 is proceeding towards Yokohama port after encountering heavy weather conditions while enroute from San Pedro on 5th February,2008. Presently, the vessel is now proceeding as normal and there were no injuries to the crew and no pollution.However, as per Master of vessel, a few containers are damaged and lost overboard with US Coast Guard been informed of incident.
A full investigation,including an inspection to assess the extent of cargo damage will be launcehed, once the vessel reaches Yokohama port.The impacted containers will be indentified and you will receive the additional communication from us in future.
